LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 29, 2012. – The world’s fastest thoroughbreds will Run for the Roses at Saturday’s Kentucky Derby, but a few miles from Churchill Downs the race started early for Louisville Executive Aviation, as the fixed base operator readied to handle four times its usual weekend traffic.

Celebrations started early at Louisville Executive Aviation, which kicked off the two-week Kentucky Derby Festival with the eighth annual “Out of The Blue” Jet Show, a private aircraft reception showcasing the latest models from jet manufacturers and fractional providers, along with luxury automobile, watercraft and motorcycle dealers.

Louisville Executive Aviation works closely with the Louisville Regional Airport Authority to handle the traffic seamlessly, Hannan explains. The Airport Authority will close some taxiways, turning them into parking spots for planes.
