Orlando … ASIG®, an industry leader in aviation services, announced today that it has received a record eight HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environmental) Awards under Shell Aviation’s Goal Zero Awards scheme. The awards cover ASIG fuel operations in the United Kingdom, where ASIG provides a combination of commercial aircraft refueling and fuel facility management and operation services on behalf of Shell Aviation. To qualify for an award, an operation must meet compliance guidelines under the program. These include competence and training, corrective actions and maintaining zero injuries, spills and accidents.
Two ASIG locations achieved Double Platinum status, London Luton Airport (LTN) and GASHCo at London Gatwick Airport (LGW). ASIG operations at London Gatwick (LGW) and London Stansted (STN) Airports both received Platinum, while Birmingham (BHX) and Manchester (MAN) Airports received Gold and Bournemouth (BOH) and London City (LCY) Airports received Silver status.
Pat Pearse, Managing Director, ASIG Europe, remarked “We are extremely proud of our employees who have demonstrated a real commitment to achieve an incident free work environment for ASIG and for our customers. ASIG also has a program called ZIPP (Zero Incident Process + Philosophy) which is clearly aligned with the intention of Shell Aviation’s Goal Zero initiative. We are grateful to be recognized by Shell Aviation for maintaining the highest standards of operation and compliance with their HSSE goals.”
