Paris, Amstelveen, 13 April 2012 - Air Corsica and AFI KLM E&M have signed a contract covering phase out and C checks on its two A319s as the carrier gears up to replace its two A319s with two A320s. The C-checks will be carried out in April at AFI KLM E&M's Toulouse-Blagnac facility.

Restoring the aircraft to the lessor's requirements
When an aircraft lease expires, the leasing airline has to carry out a series of checks on every area of the aircraft and replace any defective parts before the aircraft can be returned to its lessor. "Our role is to restore the aircraft to the lessor's standards, as it was at the start of the leasing contract," explains Michel Auffret, AFI KLM E&M Sales Manager for Southern Europe. "That can involve anything from re-painting to cabin refurbishment. We make sure that the airline can return the aircraft in perfect condition."

A site specializing in narrowbody maintenance
An AFI KLM E&M client for several years past, Air Corsica has already commissioned the MRO to carry out these rather special checks. Sylvain Rigaux from Air Corsica says, "Satisfied as always with the services rendered, we had no hesitation in asking AFI KLM E&M to repeat the performance on our two A319s." As Michel Auffret says, "The Toulouse maintenance facility, dedicated to narrowbody aircraft, is ideal for this type of contracts as it has all the necessary facilities and qualified, experienced personnel."
