Air Comm Corporation Celebrates Grand Opening of New Facility with Open House, Tours and Festivities

BOULDER, Colo., April 1, 2012 – Air Comm Corporation (ACC), a leading provider of aircraft environmental control solutions, will showcase its new Business Development, Engineering and Test Facility in Carrollton, Texas, at an open house on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.


The open house will begin at 10 a.m. and continue throughout the day. The facility is located at 2550 Midway Road, Suite 240, Carrollton, Texas 75006.  Current and prospective customers, system integrators, original equipment manufacturers and members of the media are invited to attend.  Visitors will enjoy Texas barbeque, meet ACC technical experts on environmental testing and climate control systems and be able to tour the facility’s extensive testing capabilities. The new facility’s environmental control system testing can evaluate a wide variety of air conditioning technologies used in both civil and military aircraft and ground vehicles.  The lab contains 120,000 BTUH air conditioning psychrometric testing chambers for testing individual components or complete systems to optimize performance.  The facility can accurately evaluate a wide range of temperatures to within 0.2o C, as well as relative humidity, atmospheric pressure for air density compensation, refrigerant mass flow and airflow with 1-percent accuracy.  The facility also provides a wide range of electrical test capabilities.  An 88-channel data acquisition system provides real-time monitoring for multiple tests of component performance.  The lab holds ISO/AS9100 Rev C, ASHRAE Std. 41.2-1987 airflow measurement chamber and independent IAS accreditation and is certified for a variety of environmental tests and ratings.


Backed by exceptional engineering and technical capabilities, Air Comm Corp. designs, manufactures and supports more than 20 heating and air conditioning systems for a range of helicopters, including Agusta, Bell, Eurocopter, MD and Sikorsky. Military applications include the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, the H-60 Black Hawk, the UH-72 Lakota and the TH-67 Creek.
