Piper Shows Meridian, Mirage, Trainers; Celebrates 75th Anniversary at Sun 'n Fun

Vero Beach, Fla., March 23, 2012 - Piper Aircraft Inc. plans to display airplanes from its M-Class business aircraft and trainer product lines at the Sun 'n Fun International Fly-In & Expo in Lakeland, Fla. beginning March 27. The company will also use the iconic fun flying venue to begin a year-long celebration of its 75th anniversary, highlighted with the display of a vintage Piper Cub.

M-Class aircraft on display include the top-of-the-line turboprop Meridian and pressurized single-engine Mirage. Also on display will be a twin-engine Seminole trainer destined for Redbird Flight Simulations' innovative research and development laboratory, and a popular single-engine trainer sought after by pilot training program fleets around the world.

Piper is planning a special 75th anniversary celebratory breakfast for customers and invited guests on Wednesday, March 28 during the Sun 'n Fun event. "We will be recognizing Piper's aviation heritage and the tradition of our great people and aircraft throughout the year," said Piper President and CEO Simon Caldecott. "We've chosen Sun 'n Fun to kick off our customer and public activities."
