March 13, 2012

WACO, Texas, March 13, 2012 – Blackhawk has added Silverhawk Aviation of Lincoln, Neb., to its growing roster of authorized marketing and installation facilities.

Blackhawk, the world’s leading provider of cost-effective performance improvement systems that expand the operational capabilities and safety of single- and twin-engine turboprop aircraft, recently completed an agreement that makes Silverhawk Aviation its newest dealer and service support center.

Founded in 1991, Silverhawk Aviation began as a single-aircraft charter service.  In its first decade, Silverhawk’s fleet grew to 13 aircraft including business jets. The company developed a certified FAA Repair Station and became a full-service fixed base operator (FBO) at Lincoln Municipal Airport. Today, Silverhawk provides comprehensive maintenance services for commercial and private aircraft and operating systems.  The company has earned an ARG/US (Aviation Research Group/United States) Gold Rating for charter service excellence.

“The Blackhawk team is extremely pleased to welcome Silverhawk Aviation to our global family of service providers and suppliers,” said Jim Allmon, Blackhawk president and CEO. “Silverhawk Aviation has established an outstanding reputation as a specialist in maintenance, line service and charter operations in the Midwest. Its central location is convenient to many Midwestern cities to provide quick turnaround for turboprop aircraft owners and operators in the region.”

“Silverhawk Aviation is beginning its third decade of aerospace service, so it is completely appropriate to join the Blackhawk network and provide performance upgrades for many popular turboprop aircraft,” added Dan Hinnah, Silverhawk Aviation president.  “Adding Blackhawk upgrades to our capabilities will definitely enhance our business.”
