CAE is adding IAE V2500 series engine simulation capability to another Airbus A320 full-flight simulator in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to meet increasing training demand in the Asia Pacific region. The simulator is located at the Asian Aviation Centre of Excellence (AACE), a joint venture of AirAsia and CAE. According to IAE, there are more than 5000 V2500 engines fielded on aircraft worldwide. The IAE engine update will be ready for training by March, and will be the third A320 FFS in Kuala Lumpur with V2500 capability. A fourth CAE-managed A320 FFS with IAE simulation is located in Singapore. The FFSs can also be configured for CFM engine training.
