Feb. 8, 2012

Instrument Tech Corp., a recognized aircraft component service and manufacturing company based in Addison, Texas, has added to its extensive list of qualifications by achieving AS9100 Rev C and AS9110 Rev A certifications. Commenting on the achievement, Bill Prewitt, Jr., President of Instrument Tech said, "We are pleased to announce that we are one of only 19 firms in the United States to be designated as both AS9100 Rev C and AS9110 Rev A certified. Our company’s commitment to providing on-time, high quality and reasonably priced aircraft component service and manufacturing is confirmed by these latest designations."

In the latest revision to AS9100 standards, the International Aerospace Quality Group, (IAQG), addressed the quality management system standards for the aviation, space and defense industries. Some changes to the AS9100 Series of certifications include: risk management, project management, configuration management and expansion of scope to include land and sea based systems for defense applications. The new AS9100 Rev C certification is no longer just an aerospace standard, but an aviation, space and defense standard that is recognized worldwide.

Along with AS9100 Rev C and AS9110 Rev A certifications, Instrument Tech holds over 10 additional levels of certifications and approvals. The various accreditations all keep Instrument Tech at the industry forefront of ever changing and improving technologies.

"Our customers can be completely confident in working with us," said Prewitt, "Our continually expanding list of certifications and compliance designations testifies to our commitment to not only providing top quality parts and service, but also to a strict adherence to the highest industry standards."
