St. Augustin, Germany – REMOS Aircraft has received confirmation from the federal aviation agencies in India and Brazil that their popular GX design has won Aircraft Design Approval. In South Africa, REMOS has obtained a Type Certificate. This assures that India and Brazil, which have not yet established LSA certification, will grant airworthiness certificates in reciprocal recognition of the EASA LSA Type Certificates. In South Africa, the government has now developed LSA type certification standards.

“We are pleased that we have been able to work with our new dealers in South Africa, Brazil and India to win approval for marketing and flying the REMOS GX in those countries,” said Theo Paeffgen, REMOS CEO. “We will continue to pursue the adoption of LSA Certification in countries all around the world as we continue to develop a global dealer network. To this point, it has been a straightforward procedure in acquiring acceptance of the EASA LSA certification standards. The potential for flight training and recreational flying in developing nations is opening up rapidly.”
