Duncan Aviation Explains How To Reduce Costs on Interior Refurbishments
A video series and a field guide explain how “phasing” interior maintenance with regularly scheduled maintenance events can improve the condition of an aircraft interior, reduce long-term costs and help interior refurbishments last longer.
LINCOLN, NEB — Duncan Aviation recently released two new resources that explain how to economize costs and downtime for interior refurbishments. A video series and a field guide explain how “phasing” interior maintenance with regularly scheduled maintenance events can improve the condition of an aircraft interior, reduce long-term costs and help interior refurbishments last longer.
The “Phased Interior Maintenance” video series is hosted by Duncan Aviation’s Interior Modifications Sales Rep Nate Darlington. In it, he offers advice on planning interior work with maintenance events, budgeting and offsetting interior refurbishment costs.
Darlington introduces the concept of phasing interior refurbishments with scheduled maintenance events and how it offsets refurbishment costs in Part 1 of the two-part video series, “What is Phased Interior Maintenance?” In Part 2, “Economizing Interior Refurbishments,” he explains how phasing interior work benefits passengers, economizes downtime, prevents damages and controls long-term costs.
The field guide, titled “How to Extend the Life of an Aircraft Interior: A DOM’s Guide to Phased Interior Maintenance,” explains how to phase interior maintenance, compares the costs of a traditional interior refurbishment with a phased interior approach, and provides details about the Phased Interior Maintenance plans provided by Duncan Aviation.
At Duncan Aviation, Phased Interior Maintenance provides operators with a plan that is unique to their specific aircraft interior. “We work with you to review your interior’s current condition, taking a look at how the aircraft is used and create a plan that you can take with you, all at no cost or obligation,” says Darlington.
