StandardAero Receives CF34-8 Engine Regulatory Approval

Company earns Transport Canada approval to repair and overhaul all models of CF34-8 engines.

Winnipeg, MB -- StandardAero, an Authorized CF34 Service Provider, Licensed by GE Engine Services, Inc. announces that it had earned Transport Canada approval to repair and overhaul all models of CF34-8 engines. This authorization is also officially recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States and other regulatory authorities worldwide. CF34-8 maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service capability represents the latest development of Standard Aero's comprehensive aviation MRO product portfolio.

The CF34-8 powers the Bombardier CRJ 700 and 900, and Embraer 170 aircraft. There are presently over 600 of these engines in service in the world with orders and options for over 1,000 more in the next decade. These 70 and 90 seat aircraft are prevalent among airlines worldwide and represent a growing market for StandardAero.

This newest approval complements StandardAero's existing service on the CF34-1 and ?3 engines powering the Bombardier Challenger, CRJ 100 and 200 aircraft. StandardAero now offers CF34 comprehensive maintenance, repair and overhaul services for all the CF34-1, -3, and -8 models.

StandardAero performs repair and overhaul on Pratt & Whitney Canada, Rolls-Royce, Honeywell, and General Electric engines used in regional airline, business aviation, helicopter, and military/government markets.
