Premier/West Star names Rick Brainard general manager of its Grand Junction, CO, facility.

Premier/West Star is pleased to announce that it has named Rick Brainard as general manager of the company's Grand Junction facility, effective Sept.6, 2005. Brainard will oversee the day-to-day operational activities of the full-service FBO and aircraft maintenance facility.

Brainard joined West Star Aviation originally as a part of its highly skilled avionics and modifications programs. He previously held various management positions with McKinney Aerospace, Garrett Aviation, and Allied Signal.

"Our management team has worked with Rick for several years in other technical capacities. His strong leadership skills and passion for success were apparent from the very beginning. These qualities made Rick the obvious choice as the new general manager at West Star," said Michael Durst, executive vice president, Premier/West Star.

Premier Air Center, West Star Aviation, and West Star Avionics, under one ownership, represent the very best in aircraft maintenance capability and services. Premier Air Center is located at St. Louis Regional Airport (ALN) in East Alton, IL, and is a Factory Authorized Cessna Citation Service Center for all 500 and 650 Series aircraft including the Sovereign, Mustang, and CJIII aircraft and is FAA-Certified on all Dassault Falcon aircraft. Premier Air Center also specializes in interior, paint, avionics, and engine maintenance.

West Star Aviation, located in Grand Junction, CO (GJT), is a full-service FBO specializing in airframe maintenance, engine repair, interior, paint and avionics upgrades for a wide variety of today's corporate and general aviation aircraft including Lear, Conquest, Citation, Hawker, Challenger, and Falcon aircraft. The company also holds an STC for an RVSM solution for the Learjet 31, 35, 35A, 36, and 36A and is currently pursuing an RVSM solution for Conquest II aircraft. West Star Avionics specializes in the acquisition and sales of surplus avionics through their Hiawatha, IA, facility.
