The Reno National Championship Air Races and Air Show is Sept. 14 to 18.
Aircraft restoration mechanic Mike Looney cleans a 1947 Hawker Sea Fury in the hangar of Unlimited Air at the Jerome Airport on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005 in Jerome, Idaho. The 2,800-horsepower Curtiss-Wright engine can fly at more than 410 mph and will be raced at the Reno National Championship Air Races and Air Show by owner Bill Rheinschild.
