People: Burt named COO at Duncan

Tom Burt has assumed the responsibilities of COO for Duncan Aviation's battle Creek, Michigan, facility.

LINCOLN, NEB. -- Tom Burt, a 26-year veteran of Duncan Aviation, has assumed the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer for Duncan Aviation's Battle Creek, Michigan, facility. Tom has been based in Battle Creek for the past 18 months where he was the Executive Vice President of Customer Service and Sales. Now, as COO, Tom will retain these responsibilities.

Bill Prochazka will continue in his roll as the Executive Vice President and General Manager in Battle Creek, focusing on community affairs, facility development and oversight of some of the production shops.

"Tom and Bill have worked together for many years and will continue to be a strong leadership team. Together, they will lead the significant effort to grow the Battle Creek facility by 350 to 400 employees over the next five years," says Hilkemann.

Burt has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. He began his career with Duncan Aviation in 1979 as an A&P Mechanic and has held various marketing, sales, and customer service positions through the years.
