People News: Hopkins Named Landmark Aviation VP

Hopkins is now Vice President, FBO Operations, responsible for strategy and leadership of the company's 34 airport facilities.

TEMPE, Ariz. March 7, 2006 — Landmark Aviation today named Jim Hopkins as its Vice President, FBO Operations, responsible for strategy and leadership of the company's 34 airport facilities.

"As we continue to grow the Landmark Aviation network of FBO facilities in key markets, Jim brings solid expertise and strength to this critical role," said Bill Thrift, Senior Vice President, FBO Operations. "Jim will oversee Landmark's process and project initiatives, including our growth and the integrated services offering we provide to aircraft owners and operators."

Hopkins will be based in Winston Salem, N.C. He began his career at Piedmont Aviation in Roanoke, Va., as a flight instructor and charter pilot. Piedmont Aviation was a predecessor company of Landmark Aviation.

Hopkins later held the position of General Manager of the Roanoke and Norfolk, Va., FBOs and Vice President, Charter, for the business. Most recently, he was Vice President, Large Fleet & Government Contracts, for Landmark Aviation.

He holds a bachelor's degree in management and marketing from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va.
