Thunder Aviation announces that David W. Potter has been hired as Vice President, Aircraft Sales.

Potter is a veteran aircraft sales professional with more than 35 years of aviation experience who began his career as the Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Dassault Falcon Jet Corp. In 1983, he joined Sabreliner Corporation as a member of its newly formed pre-owned business jet sales department, and was subsequently promoted to Director of Aircraft Sales where he enjoyed success in the acquisition and sale of pre-owned jets in the United States, Mexico, South America and Europe.

"When we made the decision to develop an aircraft sales department," said Gene Kraay, President & CEO, "Dave Potter's name came immediately to mind. A man is only as powerful as his reputation, and Dave has an excellent one that goes beyond our domestic borders."

Potter received his bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University. He is a commercial pilot and was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force where he served as a Forward Air Controller in Vietnam and then as a KC-135 aircraft commander.

Based at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, MO, Thunder Aviation is a full service fixed base operator (FBO) offering extensive maintenance and avionics programs ranging from major inspections and heavy maintenance to interior modifications and installations. The company has recently opened an engine shop with full hot section inspection capability and line maintenance. With more than 100,000 square feet of hangar space, Thunder Aviation services aircraft of all sizes, ranging from single engine piston to large multi-engine turbine powered aircraft.
