Bill Ashworth assumes his new role with 10 years of experience working with Goodrich's Aviation Technical Services team headquartered in Everett, WA.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Goodrich Corporation(NYSE: GR) has appointed Bill Ashworth to the post of Division President, Aviation Technical Services reporting to Jack Carmola, Segment President, Airframe Systems, effective immediately.

Ashworth assumes his new role with 10 years of experience working with Goodrich's Aviation Technical Services team headquartered in Everett, Wash. Over the course of his career at Goodrich he has held posts of increasing responsibility ranging from product development to leading the division's maintenance, quality and engineering efforts, to most recently serving as Vice President Operations.

Ashworth has more than 35 years of commercial aviation engineering, maintenance and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification experience. Prior to joining Goodrich he held Vice President-General Manager positions at two transport airplane maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) and modification companies where he directed numerous maintenance, aircraft conversion and FAA certification programs.

For more than 14 years Ashworth held key aircraft certification engineering and management positions in the FAA. He was manager of the FAA Seattle Aircraft Certification Office where he directed all U.S. and foreign type certification and safety activities for Boeing and Airbus including involvement in rulemaking, accident investigations and the issuance of Airworthiness Directives.

Ashworth holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from St. Louis University, a Master's in Technical Management from the University of Washington and FAA Maintenance Technician and Pilot licenses.
