BTS Releases March Passenger Airline Employment Data
For the 15th consecutive month, employment is down.
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) report on airline passenger trafic for March has been released. The report shows that March 2006 employment was down 5.4 percent from March 2005. This was the 15th consecutive month that full-time equivalent employee (FTE) levels for the scheduled passenger carriers declined compared to the same month of the previous year, the BTS, a part of the U.S. Department of Transportation's Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA), reported today.
