CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hawaiian Airlines has selected Goodrich Corporation to perform transitions on four Boeing 767-300s prior to the aircrafts' entry into Hawaiian's fleet. Goodrich will perform: heavy maintenance checks; interior standardizations; full aircraft paints; and modifications to meet Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards (ETOPS) requirements on each aircraft. In addition, three of the aircraft will undergo engine pylon modifications and two of the aircraft will have gear overhaul performed by Goodrich's landing gear services team. All aircraft are currently on site at Goodrich's Aviation Technical Services facility in Everett, Wash. The work is expected to be complete later this year.

"These transitions are very important to Hawaiian and we needed a company that would support our ambitious program while providing unparalleled safety and operational reliability," said Charles Nardello, Vice President of Maintenance & Engineering at Hawaiian Airlines. "Over the past couple of years, Goodrich has been incredibly responsive with outstanding turn-time and quality for our fleet of 767s. This level of service made Goodrich the natural choice for the selection to complete this transition program," Nardello continued.

According to Bill Ashworth, President of Goodrich's Aviation Technical Services division, "We are pleased that Hawaiian has recognized our extensive capabilities and commitment to quality and have entrusted us with these aircraft. This is an exciting opportunity for our team to further service the needs of Hawaiian Airlines, a very important core customer."

Hawaiian was the nation's number one carrier for on-time service, fewest flight cancellations and best baggage service reliability in 2005 and in the first quarter of 2006, according to reports by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Consumer travel surveys conducted by Conde Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure, and Zagat all rank Hawaiian as the top domestic airline serving Hawaii.

In its 77th year of continuous service in Hawaii, Hawaiian is the state's biggest and longest-serving airline, and the second largest provider of passenger air service between Hawaii and the U.S. mainland. Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. is a subsidiary of Hawaiian Holdings, Inc. (AMEX: HA; PCX). Additional information is available at http://www.HawaiianAirlines.com.
