Los Angeles, CA, June 8, 2006 -- Bombardier Aerospace and Landmark Aviation unveiled the newly remodelled terminal facility and expanded ramp operations area at Landmark's flagship Los Angeles International Airport service center, the newest Authorized Service Facility (ASF) for Bombardier business jets.
Celebratory activities included an official ribbon-cutting event, facility tours and a reception for media, industry officials and Bombardier customers and operators.
The renovated facility pairs a luxurious flight center, which includes a pilot rest area, flight planning area and conference room, with Landmark's world-class maintenance, repair and overhaul services. The renovation, an investment of US $2.6 million, also expands the facility's ramp space by 10 per cent to 300,000 sq. ft.
"Landmark's goal is to enhance the ownership and service experience for each and every Bombardier customer either based on the U.S. West Coast or regularly flying in from other regions. This exciting new investment has prepared us to offer an even higher level of comfort and service to Bombardier operators," says Roger Wolfe, chief executive officer, Landmark Aviation.
Bombardier appointed Landmark's Los Angeles facility as an ASF for service and maintenance on Bombardier Learjet and Challenger 600 Series aircraft in February 2006, making it the first Bombardier ASF in the U.S. authorized to service all three Bombardier business aircraft families. Landmark has been providing quality maintenance for the Global family of aircraft in Los Angeles since 2000.

Bombardier invested significantly in its worldwide service and maintenance network over the past two years, with Landmark Aviation named as the fourth new ASF, bringing the total number to 28 independent facilities. There are 12 ASFs in North America, nine of which service Learjet aircraft; seven provide service on Challenger aircraft, and three on Global aircraft. A further 16 ASFs offer maintenance and service in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Pacific Rim, and in Central and South America.
Landmark's Los Angeles service center, first established more than 50 years ago, provides operators with the full range of aircraft maintenance and support services round the clock. It features more than 60,000 square feet (18,000 sq. m) of hangar space and employs over 190 technicians, engineers and specialists. The facility also offers full FBO services, including refuelling, cargo handling, catering, ground transportation and a comfortable VIP lounge and work area.

Bombardier Aerospace today announced that Comlux Aviation Services of Indianapolis, Indiana, has been appointed as an authorized service facility (ASF) for its business aircraft.
