Tucson, AZ., August 1, 2006 -- Former Securaplane Executive Mark Lukso announces the formation of Lux Aviation Engineering Corp. Lux Aviation Engineering Corp.'s first products for aviation will utilize unique Kokam lithium polymer batteries for business and commercial aviation in the form of main ship batteries and emergency/standby battery systems. Don Nissanka, President of Kokam America states that he is pleased to have Lux Aviation introducing Kokam's safe and high current lithium polymer battery to business and commercial aviation with their proven track record in introducing new technologies to the aviation industry.
Lux Aviation has signed an agreement with Kokam America as the exclusive worldwide distributor and design authority for all aviation applications. Mark Lukso states that in addition to the Kokam lithium polymer batteries, we will announce two to three avionics alliances and/or new technologies we plan to bring to the business and commercial aviation sector.
Lux Aviation Engineering Corp. draws its expertise from many years of combined aviation experience from the Lukso family. Product experience ranges include flight control, navigation systems, battery and battery charging technologies, power electronics, aircraft security systems and intraaircraft wireless systems.
Lux Aviation Engineering Corp. is registered as an Arizona Corporation with its headquarters in Tucson, Arizona. Joining Mark Lukso is his brother Dennis Lukso and numerous aviation experienced engineers and other personnel.
Kokam America is based in Lee's Summit, MO and is a market leader in design and manufacturing of the patented high performance superior lithium polymer batteries currently manufactured in it South Korean facility. The Kokam product range extends from 6 mA to 240 AH. Kokam America plans to set up a U.S. manufacturing facility and intends to become a major player in the aerospace and defense industries.
