High-Performance Brocade Solutions Help Boost JetBlue Airways' Flight Operations and Customer Service
JetBlue Airways to use Brocade SilkWorm(R) directors to accelerate access to key applications.
"Our new Brocade solutions not only improve performance, they're also making our data center significantly easier to manage," Gambal noted. "The management interface makes everything simpler: management, monitoring, and troubleshooting. This gives us some breathing room and more peace of mind."
JetBlue is gaining an additional sense of well-being from having redundant Brocade directors at its Salt Lake City disaster recovery site, where IT personnel are backing up the airline's most critical applications. There a Brocade Multiprotocol Router linked to a second router at the data center gives the airline fail-safe disaster recovery replication, ensuring that data systems remain operational in any emergency.
"The business continuity we're gaining with Brocade will serve us and our customers well in case of emergency," Gambal said. "With this level of fault tolerance coupled with the directors' expandable architecture, we're confident that our Brocade solution will support JetBlue's growth for the next decade."
