Frontier Airlines Expands Service on 29 Routes for 2007
Frontier Airlines announces its summer schedule with expanded service in twenty-nine markets.
DENVER, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced its summer schedule with expanded service in twenty-nine markets. The additional frequencies and added capacity follow recent new market announcements including Hartford, Conn. (starts March 3), Louisville, Ky. (starts April 1), and Vancouver, British Columbia (starts May 5), which will all feature non-stop service to Frontier's Denver hub. Frontier will also resume service to Anchorage, Alaska on May 6 with service through Oct. 14. In the coming months Frontier will also announce the first new cities for its Lynx regional operation flying state-of-the-art Bombardier Q400 aircraft.
The Louisville service will be one of the first Frontier cities to enjoy the benefits of Frontier's recently announced partnership with Republic Airlines who will operate 17 Embraer E-170 aircraft for Frontier. The E-170, with great leg room and a more spacious cabin than the typical regional aircraft, provides an experience unlike any regional jet in the industry.
