Boeing to Manage Parts Inventory of Nippon Cargo

Boeing (NYSE: BA) has said that it is to manage a significant portion of the spare-parts inventory of Nippon Cargo Airlines.

The management of the inventory will reportedly take place under a programme designed to improve spare-parts availability for the freight carrier, while reducing operating costs.

Boeing said that under the Integrated Materials Management (IMM) programme, Boeing and other suppliers will own aircraft parts that Nippon Cargo would normally need to hold in inventory. Boeing will manage the inventory and logistics for many of Nippon Cargo's expendable aircraft parts.
