Rolls-Royce Executive Named Aviation "Good Scout"
James M. Guyette, President & CEO, Rolls-Royce North America Inc., receives the Aviation Good Scout Award from the Greater New York Councils Boy Scouts of America.
James M. Guyette, President & CEO, Rolls-Royce North America Inc., has received the Aviation Good Scout Award from the Greater New York Councils Boy Scouts of America. Each year, the Aviation Good Scout Award recognizes a distinguished individual from the industry who best exemplifies the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America in his/her daily life. Recipients are also selected based on their record of community service as well as the respect of their colleagues.
"As a former Boy Scout, I am honored and humbled to receive this award," says Guyette. "For nearly 100 years, the Boy Scouts have worked to build and perpetuate character among America's youth. In today's world, there is no more important mission."
Scouts Executive and CEO Charles Rosser says, "We are pleased to be able to honor Jim Guyette with the Aviation Good Scout Award. Jim has demonstrated all of the qualities of a "Good Scout," both in his remarkably successful career and in his everyday life as well. We are proud of our association with Jim and the entire Rolls-Royce family here in North America."
The award was presented in early April at a luncheon in New York City.
