Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Introduces International Air Cargo Management Certificate Program

Daytona Beach, Fla., May 31, 2007 – The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide Campus is launching an International Air Cargo Management Certificate program for industry professionals. This is the first program to specifically address the needs of the air cargo industry on an international basis.

The program of 23 courses is offered online to anyone in the world via Embry-Riddle's online learning systems. Course modules include business management, leadership, air cargo aircraft operations, human resource management, and air cargo technical services.

The new web-based learning program offered by Embry-Riddle is designed to prepare individuals for leadership positions in the air cargo industry by focusing specifically on the needs and operations of that industry. Traditional management and aviation principles are mixed with specific air cargo industry applications and practices. The program is designed from an international perspective, creating a curriculum that is focused on the professional development of air cargo operators.

The International Air Cargo Management Certificate program features self-paced learning, the application of real-world scenarios, interactive learning activities to reinforce new ideas, and several technological resources that magnify key concepts for use by the student both during the course and after its completion. Additionally, graduates of this program will receive Continuing Education Units on their academic transcript and a completion certificate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
