ILS Wins Computer Fraud Lawsuit Against Partsbase, Inc.

Inventory Locator Service announced it obtained a cash payment of $1.5 million from Partsbase, Inc., for settlement of a lawsuit filed by ILS in 2002.

Memphis, Tennessee, Tuesday, June 12, 2007 – Inventory Locator Service, LLC (ILS), a subsidiary of The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA), today announced it obtained a cash payment of $1.5 million from Partsbase, Inc., a Boca Raton, Florida based company. They payment is for settlement of a lawsuit filed by ILS in 2002 under the Federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act in response to Partsbase’s illegal access to ILS’ proprietary databases containing customer names and contact information.

In addition to the cash payment, the Federal District Court in Memphis, Tenn entered a permanent injunction against Partsbase that prohibits illegal access to the ILS database in the future.
