FlightSafety Receives Part 147 Certificate From the General Administration of Civil Aviation in China
FlightSafety International is the first training organization outside of China to obtain CCAR-147 approval.
LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, New York (June 19, 2007) – FlightSafety International has obtained a Part 147 maintenance training certificate from the General Administration of Civil Aviation in China. This follows FlightSafety's certification by the Chinese Aviation Authority to provide initial and recurrent pilot training for the Embraer 145 aircraft obtained in March of 2006.
"This important milestone demonstrates our ability and desire to work with aviation authorities around the world to provide our customers with comprehensive training that enhances safety," said Bruce Whitman, President and CEO, FlightSafety International.
CCAR certified Part-147 training is currently offered at FlightSafety's Paris-Le Bourget Training Center and will be expanded to other FlightSafety locations as required.
"We recognize and appreciate the efforts of our world-class compliance organization to obtain the first ever CCAR-147 certification outside of China. Their knowledge, experience and expertise also helped us become the first training provider to receive EASA Part 147 certification," added Bruce Whitman.
The company's professional maintenance technician training programs are taught by highly qualified, experienced instructors using FlightSafety designed courseware and innovative instructional tools, including advanced technology flight simulators. FlightSafety offers maintenance training on a wide variety of business and regional aircraft certified by EASA, CASA, the aviation authority of India, the FAA and Transport Canada.
FlightSafety International is the world's premier aviation training organization. Over 75,000 pilots, technicians and other aviation professionals train at FlightSafety facilities each year. The company designs and manufactures full flight simulators for civil and military aircraft programs and operates the world's largest fleet of advanced full flight simulators at 40 training locations.
