Abaris to Host Conference on Thermoplastic Composites

Aug. 1, 2007
The conference will be held at the Peppermill Hotel in Reno, Nevada, November 6 – 7, 2007.

RENO, NEVADA – August 1, 2007 – Abaris Training Resources, Inc., headquartered in Reno, Nevada, is hosting a 2-day conference on Thermoplastic Composites.

Thermoplastic Composites are one of the highest growth areas in the composite industry. Thermoplastic Composites offer the potential for lower cost, lighter weight composite structures due to their shorter cycle times (reducing energy requirements) and parts integration vs. thermosets.

The conference will be held at the Peppermill Hotel in Reno, Nevada, November 6 – 7, 2007. Attendees will obtain a thorough background on thermoplastic composites, including materials and processes used, historical development, current applications, manufacturers and users, and the future opportunities in the thermoplastic composite industry.

Speakers include Arnt Offringa, Director of Research & Development, Stork Fokker AESP; Tom Hitchings, Business Director with Tods Aerospace Limited; Winand Kok, Product Manager-Aerospace, Ten Cate Advanced Composites BV; Jim Mondo, President & CEO of Automated Dynamics; Joseph George with Quadrant Plastics Corporation and Scott W. Beckwith, Ph.D., Technical Director-SAMPE International and President of BTG Composites, Inc.
