Aeroflot to Purchase 44 Aircraft from Boeing and Airbus

Aeroflot has reportedly agreed to pay USD 2.906bn for 22 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft and USD 2.904bn for 22 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft.

Aeroflot, a Russian national airline, has announced it is to purchase 44 aircraft from manufacturers Boeing and Airbus for USD5.81bn.

Aeroflot has reportedly agreed to pay USD2.906bn for 22 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft and USD2.904bn for 22 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft. The orders would have amounted to USD3.5bn each by list prices, meaning the airline has gained a discount of around 17%.

Aeroflot will receive its first Boeing aircraft in 2014 and the last in 2016 and the first Airbus in 2014 and the last in 2019, according to Reuters.
