Lane Appointed Designated Airworthiness Representative By FAA

With the DAR designation, Lane is approved to perform various important functions on behalf of the FAA such as the export of aircraft, aircraft engines, propellers, and components.

Daniel M. Lane, a longtime employee of Epps Aviation in Atlanta, Georgia, has been granted a Certificate of Designation from the Federal Aviation Administration as a Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR).

With the DAR designation, Lane is approved to perform various important functions on behalf of the FAA such as the export of aircraft, aircraft engines, propellers, and components. Lane is also certified to issue recurrent standard airworthiness certificates as well as special flight (ferry) permits for the FAA.

Lane becomes one of only 15 Designated Airworthiness Representatives in Georgia and one of only a handful in the metro Atlanta area. Dan Lane currently serves as the Chief Inspector for Epps Aviation and the NDT Department Manager. Lane has been an employee at Epps Aviation since 1995.
