Van De Geest Named Assistant Manager of Farnborough Training Center

FlightSafety International has appointed Anthony van de Geest as Assistant Center Manager of the London Farnborough Training Center.

LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, NEW YORK (August 17, 2007) – FlightSafety International has appointed Anthony van de Geest as Assistant Center Manager of the London Farnborough Training Center.

"Anthony has demonstrated the knowledge and leadership necessary to assist the Farnborough management team in reaching their goals and objectives. We are fortunate to have him on our team," said Greg McGowan, Vice President Operations, FlightSafety International.

Anthony has held the position of Product Marketing Manager at the London Farnborough Center sinceDecember 2004. Prior to joining FlightSafety, he served as Manager for Africa Operations for National Airways Corporation in Johannesburg, South Africa. Anthony’s knowledge of commercial aviation has been a major asset to thecompany.

Anthony holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University. In addition to his 11 years at National Airways Corporation, he has hadvarious appointments in South Africa in aviation sales, insurance and finance. Having served in the South African Air Force, he also holds an FAA ATPL and a South African CPL.

The London Farnborough Training Center currently has 12 full flight simulators with a Sikorsky S-92 scheduled for delivery in September 2007. Manufacturers such as Cessna, Gulfstream, Saab, Bombardier and Hawker-Beechcraft are represented at this location.
