Travel Service Chooses Lufthansa Technik to Maintain its CFM56-7 Engines

Under the contract, Lufthansa Technik will maintain the engines of the Boeing 737 NG aircraft over the next eight years. The services to be supplied under the agreement cover every aspect of the CFM56-7B engines.

Travel Service a.s., the biggest private airline in the Czech Republic, and Lufthansa Technik, the leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for aircraft, their components and engines, have signed a new Total Engine Support TES® contract. The airline currently operates eight aircraft, but plans to expand its fleet to 13 planes by 2010. Under the TES® contract, Lufthansa Technik will maintain the engines of the Boeing 737 NG aircraft over the next eight years. The services to be supplied under the agreement cover every aspect of the CFM56-7B engines.

The service portfolio of Lufthansa Technik Engine Services extends from Total Engine Support TES®, the repair and maintenance of customer engines, modules and parts, through to engineering, services and repairs performed under warranty, logistics and consultancy. The product range covers the CFM56 family of engines, the CF6-50/-80 and CF34, and also the PW4000 and V2500. Lufthansa Technik is licensed to perform services under warranty for a broad range of engine types from General Electric, CFMI, Pratt & Whitney and IAE, and operates the biggest engine shop outside the USA.
