This program will remove the standard instrumentation and replace them with the SAGEM 10.4 inch ICDS-10 Primary Flight Display and Multi-Function Display that interfaces with aircraft systems to provide a centralized display for integration, computation, and control.

DECATUR, TX, September 10, 2007: United Rotorcraft Solutions (URS) will introduce their BK117 refurbishment program, BK117 Transform, at the upcoming AMTC.

URS has teamed with SAGEM AVIONICS to develop a refurbishment program for the BK117 that will modernize the aircraft and increase mission capabilities. This program will remove the standard instrumentation and replace them with the SAGEM 10.4 inch ICDS-10 Primary Flight Display and Multi-Function Display that interfaces with aircraft systems to provide a centralized display for integration, computation, and control.

These displays will eliminate the current caution panel and become the primary caution warning system allowing ease of maintenance, increasing safety and efficiency. This change will allow room to update the avionics and communication systems.

The interior can be updated, to include any repairs and modifications, with state of the art FAA certified medical interiors to meet today’s requirements, and a new exterior scheme with the proper preparation will extend the life of the helicopter.

The above can be accomplished to coincide with any major inspections and/or overhauls due providing a complete refurbished helicopter configured to meet any mission requirements.

United Rotorcraft Solutions will have the updated panel mock-up on display along with informational literature on the program at AMTC booth #609.
