This consolidation of FlightSafety’s 27 individual certificates into one will further standardize and streamline the management of the company’s Learning Center operations.

LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, NEW YORK (September 24, 2007) – FlightSafety International announces that the United States Federal Aviation Administration has awarded the company a single part 142 certificate for its network of Learning Centers. The FAA will present the single certificate to FlightSafety during the NBAA convention in Atlanta. Members of the media are invited to attend the presentation at the FlightSafety exhibit on Tuesday, September 25th at 2:30 PM.

“The single certificate demonstrates the quality and integrity of FlightSafety’s comprehensive training program development, courseware delivery systems and management processes,” said Bruce Whitman, President & CEO, FlightSafety International. “We sincerely appreciate the support and efforts of the FAA and their confidence in our high standards and commitment to training excellence.”

This consolidation of FlightSafety’s 27 individual certificates into one will further standardize and streamline the management of the company’s Learning Center operations. FlightSafety’s Training Center Program Manager (TCPM), based in Wichita, Kansas, will be the primary interface between the FAA’s Flight Standards District Office (FSDO), also based in Wichita, and the company. This will help to ensure effective and efficient communications between the two organizations, expedite the integration of new programs and provide a single point of contact for compliance issues and guidance.

“This will be the most comprehensive, wide-reaching single training certificate issued by the FAA to date. It will be seamless and transparent to our customers and allow us to develop and deliver new and current training programs more efficiently,” said Greg McGowan, Vice President Center Operations, FlightSafety International.

Prior to issuance of the single certificate, FlightSafety and the FAA worked closely together to review each individual Learning Center certificate, establish a standard template for training programs, and consolidate the training specifications as well as flight simulator and training device qualifications from each location.

FlightSafety International is the world’s premier aviation training organization. Over 75,000 pilots, technicians and other aviation professionals train at FlightSafety facilities each year. The company designs and manufactures full flight simulators for civil and military aircraft programs and operates the world’s largest fleet of advanced full flight simulators at 40 training locations.
