November 17, 2007 — Riverside, CA. Build A Plane, a non-profit organization which helps teachers teach science, technology, engineering and math by building real airplanes, announces the opening of a very unique website for all aviation enthusiasts! Beginning Friday, November 23rd, log onto www.BuildAPlane.org and click the big red ‘eBay Auction!’ button. Bid on a wide variety of one-of-a-kind items, from aviation collectables to tropical vacations, even personal VIP dinners with top aviation celebrities!

New items will be continually added to Build A Plane’s special e-Bay auction site, making this an on-going fundraising effort. All proceeds go directly to support the organization’s charitable aviation education efforts.

“This is a great way to support kids getting more exposure to aviation,” says Build A Plane President and Founder, Lyn Freeman. “Build A Plane has more than 70 projects in schools across the United States where kids are learning by building real airplanes. The proceeds from this unique fundraiser, something totally new and different for aviation, will help us continue to help kids,” Freeman cited.

Build A Plane is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that solicits aircraft donations, and then redirects those airplanes to high schools and youth groups across the country at no charge. Build A Plane is also working in formal partnership with the FAA to promote aviation education and is part of the Thomas W. Wathen Foundation, recently designated as a National Center for Aviation Education.
