Atlanta-based Precision Aviation Group (PAG), exclusive provider of “ISMRO” (Inventory Supported Maintenance Repair and Overhaul), announces Monday, February 4th, 2008 its Vancouver based MRO facility PAI-C has received EASA approval.

PAI-C was acquired in April 2007 by PAG to extend ISMRO services to its existing customers in the expanding Canadian market operating both rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft. PAI-C has expanded its MRO function and inventory levels by 15% since acquisition by PAG ten-months ago. “Our goal is to continue to provide the best value in both helicopter and turboprop fixed-wing parts sales and service. Our business practices distinguish us in providing technical expertise, exceptional customer Service, and in maintaining large inventory to support our customers,” said David Mast, President & CEO of PAG.

PAI-C provides a full range of repair and overhaul services to helicopter operators, and also supports regional, corporate, and charter turboprop operators. PAI-C specializes in the repair and overhaul of starter generators, instruments, avionics, electrical accessories and components with its unique Inventory Supported Maintenance Repair/Overhaul (ISMRO) operations to more than 9,000 customers in 66 countries.

“PAI-C’s EASA certification will allow us to grow with the Canadian market and continue to meet the increased demands of our customers,” said Scott James, PAG’s Managing Director and the company’s founder. “We’re committed to providing the best customer service in the general aviation industry both domestically and internationally.”

Simply put, ISMRO is the combination of a traditional parts distributor with MRO functions and is the new industry model for parts providers. The PAG companies support Bell, Eurocopter, McDonnell-Douglas/Hughes, Agusta, and Sikorsky helicopters along with fixed-wing aircrafts, such as Beech Kingair, Cessna Caravans/Citations, and Piper Cheyennes. Industries and governmental entities served by PAG include medi-vac, law enforcement, firefighting, military and offshore service providers.

About EASA

EASA, the Cologne, Germany-based agency was created by the European Union in 2003 and was given specific regulatory and executive tasks in the field of civilian aviation safety. In 2008, the agency will take over functions of the Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA). EASA also sets policy for aeronautical repair stations (Part 145 organizations in Europe and the US - also known as Part 571 organizations in Canada) and issues repair station certificates for repair stations located outside the EU (which permits foreign repair stations to perform work acceptable to the European Union on EU aircraft).
