Wilson Air Center Memphis Welcomes Tunica Air Group LLC as Maintenance Partner

Tunica Air Group will be operating from a 16,000-square-foot hangar located within the Wilson Air Center complex and will be providing on-call maintenance support ranging from routine servicing such as oxygen and tire servicing, to any inbound discrepancies the flight crew may have, up to and including engine changes.

Memphis, Tennessee – February 28, 2008 – Wilson Air Center is pleased to announce that it has recently entered into an agreement with Tunica Air Group LLC to provide a wide range of maintenance services to transient and based customers at the Wilson Air Center facility located at Memphis International Airport, effective February 11, 2008.

“To effectively meet the needs of our transient and based customers, Wilson Air Center must provide maintenance services to corporate and general aircraft that frequent Memphis our facility. Tunica Air Group will be operating from a 16,000-square-foot hangar located within the Wilson Air Center complex and will be providing on-call maintenance support ranging from routine servicing such as oxygen and tire servicing, to any inbound discrepancies the flight crew may have, up to and including engine changes. Scheduled maintenance items can also be accomplished.

Tunica Air Group was formed in September of 2006 by a group of six FedEx Mechanics and has quickly grown to 16 part-time and full-time employees at present with a combined experience of 300 years. A 20,000 square-foot hangar in Tunica, Mississippi is utilized to perform both on-call and scheduled maintenance services. Line maintenance services range from oxygen servicing, daily inspections, tire/brake changes, and strut servicing, to the obvious issuing of deferrals and inbound write-up rectification. Scheduled maintenance services include phase checks, engine changes, interior reconfigurations, Level 3 NDT, APU changes, sheet metal repair, and the clearing of deferrals.
