HAI Membership Votes to Modify Association's By-Laws
By-laws being modified to promote pilot and maintenance technician membership.
HAI members modified HAI By-Laws in an effort to broaden its pilot and maintenance technician membership. This is keeping in line with HAI’s outreach efforts to the pilots and technicians in the field.
As stated by HAI President Matt Zuccaro, “These ladies and gentlemen are essential to HAI achieving success with such initiatives as safety, noise abatement, expansion of our educational program, and many more. They also possess institutional knowledge and day-to-day experience that is valuable to our daily activities. I sincerely hope this will promote a greater participation by pilots and technicians in HAI activities such as our various committees, industry panels and forums, as well as our educational courses.”
Additionally, HAI membership approved a By-Laws change allowing any individual interested in following events of the helicopter industry to join as a Sustaining Member, provided such individual is not an officer, director, or majority owner of an entity that would qualify for Regular or Associate Member classification.
Also approved at the annual meeting was a By-Laws change that stated only one person at a time, from a Regular Member company, will be able to serve on the Board of Directors as a Director. This change was made to ensure a broad and equal representation of the membership on the Board of Directors.
