EMTEQ Inc. Announces Partnership With Cable Technology of Montana Inc.
The partnership intent is to strengthen EMTEQ's electronic assembly and integration work, which complements and strengthens both businesses’ product and services offerings, as well as their current customer base.
May 12, 2008 (New Berlin, WI, USA) — Shareholders of EMTEQ, Inc., announced a strategic partnership with Cable Technologies of Montana, Inc. (CTI), located in Great Falls, Montana, a leader in the design and manufacturer of high quality wire and cable related assemblies. EMTEQ shareholders have invested in CTI through a share purchase. The partnership intent is to strengthen EMTEQ’s electronic assembly and integration work, which compliments and strengthens both businesses’ product and services offerings, as well as their current customer base.
EMTEQ specializes in avionics systems and integration, interior lighting and cabin comfort as well as exterior lighting products for retrofit and forward fit applications in the military, corporate, HOS/VIP, helicopter and air transport market. The partnership, which was finalized on May 9, allows EMTEQ to provide immediate access to additional cable and harness assembly capacity which will prove beneficial for both forward fit and after market process and assembly work, as well as significantly expands their product and service offering to the Military market. EMTEQ’s worldwide network also includes offices and representation in Miami, Florida, Brazil, Switzerland, England, China, Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa and Israel.
Jerry Jendusa, EMTEQ’s Chief Executive Officer, noted, “This partnership provides us with an opportunity to offer a greater realm of products and services that compliments our current product offering, and we will be working together, with CTI, toward common goals in customer and operational excellence in the worldwide aviation industry.” CTI is classified as a small, disadvantage, “HUBZone” business (Historically Underutilized Business Zone) by the Small Business Administration. HUBZoned businesses have the incentives and benefits of free utilities, maintenance and the option of obtaining grants for training. “Along with their location, HUBZone classification, strong military and IFE customer base and high quality standards and processes, this alliance helps both parties offer our customer base with additional cable/harness capacity,” Jendusa stated.
Ed Buttrey, President of CTI, notes, “EMTEQ proves to be the ideal partner in the avionics business. They offer operations, people and processes which provide a level of synergy with our current operations and manufacturing and assembly capabilities to further enhance the growth of CTI in the aerospace and military industry.”
Buttrey will retain all responsibilities as the President of CTI, and Jendusa will continue his role of CEO of EMTEQ. The two businesses will collectively be involved customer relations, strategic growth plans, and process improvements in growing the business and their employees.
With more than ten years of cable and wire harness assembly experience, CTI has grown to become an industry leader in the areas of manufacturing, product development, distribution and complex assembly fabrication in a variety of industries, allowing for the business to compete and succeed in almost any type of complex and integrated assembly.
The two companies have been engaged in amicable discussions for almost one year. Each company will retain their current names, locations, employees and product and service offerings. Cable Technologies, Inc is certified to ISO 9001, AS 9100, AS9003 and Boeing BQMS/A GOLD requirements as well as many other customers’ individual requirements. They are also a qualified aircraft parts distributor per AC 00-56. EMTEQ is an FAA PMA-approved facility and is EN/JSIQ/AS9100:2004 certified.
