GENEVA, SWITZERLAND--(Marketwire - May 20, 2008) - Pratt & Whitney Canada will open two new parts distribution centres (PDC) in Australia and Brazil as part of a continuing drive to provide rapid parts deliveries to P&WC customers around the world. Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a United Technologies (NYSE:UTX) company.

"We will have four PDCs in strategic parts of the world by 2009 to deliver additional value to our customers in terms of speed and efficiency," said Maria Della Posta, Vice President, Customer Support, P&WC. "Together with our new Customer First Centre, providing 24/7 front-line support, the PDC expansion is part of our strategy to offer global support that is No. 1 in customers' eyes across all our markets."

In November 2006, P&WC inaugurated a new PDC in Amsterdam, serving customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This was followed last summer by the opening of a PDC in Singapore to provide rapid part deliveries for P&WC customers in the Pacific Rim Region.

The new PDCs will offer a large inventory of new parts, exchange accessories and line-replaceable units for all P&WC engine models in support of regional customers.

"With this expanding global network, P&WC engine customers will be assured a greater availability of parts and can also rely on an expert service staff that is accessible 24 hours a day, year-round," said Della Posta.

P&WC's global customer support comprises over 30 P&WC-owned and designated overhaul facilities, field support representatives strategically located worldwide, mobile repair teams available around the clock, the largest pool of P&WC rental and exchange engines in the industry and advanced diagnostic capabilities.
