DHL Selects Iberia Maintenance as the Long-Term Maintenance Provider for Fleet of Rolls-Royce RB211-535 C37 Engines

May 28, 2008 - Iberia Maintenance has signed a long-term agreement with DHL to overhaul more than 80 RolIs Royce RB211-535C37 engines operated by their two key European Airlines, DHL Air and European Air Transport.

DHL Air Ltd, based at East Midlands Airport in the United Kingdom and Brussels, Belgium based European Air Transport N.V. / S.A operate thirty four of the RB211 535 -C37 powered aircraft to more than 50 cities in the DHL Express European freight and parcel distribution network including the newly opened freight Superhub in Leipzig, Germany.

Selected by DHL for its exemplary reputation for capability and reliability, Iberia Maintenance is the largest independent RB211 engine repair and overhaul facility in Europe, and has significant long term experience of the repair and overhaul of RolIs Royce RB211-535 E4/E4B engines. This impressive capability is being further extended to include the RB211-535 C37 especially for DHL. Other engine types for which IBERIA Maintenance offers repair and overhaul services to the global aviation industry based on its many years of experience includes the CFMI CFM56-5A, CFM56-5B, CFM 56-5C and the CFM56-7B and latterly the CF 34. IBERIA maintenance also enjoys special relationships with the world's engine OEMs including General Electric, RolIs Royce, and Snecma.
