Banyan Voted #2 Best U.S. FBO and #1 Best Independent FBO

Fort Lauderdale, FL – Banyan Air Service based at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport was voted #2 best U.S. FBO, #1 best independent FBO and most improved FBO in Professional Pilots Magazine’s 2008 PRASE Survey.

In addition, to the high FBO ranking, two of Banyan’s teammates were recognized as well. Banyan’s Eric Veal was selected as #3 best line service technician. Veal has been with Banyan for 14 years and is the first shift supervisor with a team of 13 members. He has received the five- and 10-year safe AOA Ops award from the FXE airport authority. “I believe the vote for me in the PRASE survey was a vote for our entire line crew. Located on 85 acres with one million square feet of hangar and office space, and 450 base aircraft, our success in managing all the customers and aircraft is based on teamwork,” states Veal.

Bruce Woodrell, Banyan’s customer service representative has been at Banyan for six years and was selected #9 best customer support representative in the PRASE survey. Woodrell’s responsibility is to “think ahead of the customer and meet expectations before being asked. Being selected as a top 10 CSR in the country is truly an honor,” states Woodrell.

Banyan was also recognized in the PRASE survey as “most improved FBO” which is a result of opening its new Key West-style terminal in November 2006. The new facility offers many passenger and pilot amenities.

Banyan is a 24-hour fixed base operation (FBO) offering fuel and ground services. The customer support team assists with gourmet catering, hotel reservations, on-site Hertz rental cars and Bahamas and Caribbean travel assistance.
