Liberty Aerospace Gains Traction In The Global Market

June 18, 2008
With fuel and maintenance costs skyrocketing, the XL-2 not only has the lowest fuel burn and maintenance costs of any IFR Certified aircraft, but also has the lowest carbon footprint due to its FADEC optimized engine.

Melbourne, Florida, June 17th 2008 – Liberty Aerospace Inc. announced today that it is seeing increased orders and publicity in the global market as it expands it’s reaches beyond the US.

After making an announcement in late 2007 about a contract for 600 aircraft with 3A in the Peoples Republic of China, Liberty Aerospace, Inc. has began to fulfill deliveries for that order from its Melbourne, Florida, manufacturing plant. Liberty has seen a large increase in orders for the XL-2 training/touring aircraft in overseas markets.

With fuel and maintenance costs skyrocketing, the XL-2 not only has the lowest fuel burn and maintenance costs of any IFR Certified aircraft, but also has the lowest carbon footprint due to its FADEC optimized engine. Given the economic benefits of the aircraft, flight schools and individuals alike from countries like Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, China and other locations throughout Europe and the Middle East have placed orders for the XL-2.

R.W. Burnley, Senior V.P. of Sales and Marketing, for Liberty Aerospace, Inc. said, “Given the escalating cost of fuel, many flight schools are reviewing their choices for primary training aircraft. If we think avgas is expensive here in the U.S., those schools in far-away places are experiencing costs that are sometimes three times ours. This very issue…the cost of continuing operation…is what’s driving the popularity of the XL-2.”

The XL-2 has recently been highlighted at the ILA air show in Berlin, Germany, the Aero Expo airshows in London, England, and Prague, Czech Republic, the Dubai air show, the Singapore air show, and EBACE in Geneva, Switzerland.

Based in Florida’s Space Coast, Liberty Aerospace, Inc. designs and manufactures general aviation aircraft and is the FAA Type 23 Certificate holder for the IFR Certified Liberty XL2. It is the only FAA Certified piston-engine aircraft equipped with a full authority digital engine control system(FADEC), simplifying power management and providing greatly increased levels of safety, reliability and maintainability. The XL2 also benefits from exceptionally low operating costs while remaining extremely fun to fly. For additional information on Liberty Aerospace and its aircraft, visit www.libertyaerospace.com.
