FlightSafety Names Joseph (Andy) Johnson Assistant Manager, Wichita Cessna Learning Center

FlightSafety International announces that Joseph (Andy) Johnson has been named as an Assistant Manager of the company’s Cessna Learning Center in Wichita, Kansas.

LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, New York (June 20, 2008) – FlightSafety International announces that Joseph (Andy) Johnson has been named as an Assistant Manager of the company’s Cessna Learning Center in Wichita, Kansas.

“We are pleased that Andy has joined our management team at the Wichita Cessna Learning Center,” said Greg McGowan, Vice President Operations, FlightSafety International. “His experience and proven abilities in training and personnel development, management, aircraft operations, strategic planning, finance, and human resources will contribute to the high quality training programs and excellent Customer service offered at the Center.”

Johnson joined FlightSafety following a 27-year career in the United States Navy. He was most recently Senior Naval Liaison Officer in Sana’a, Yemen supporting local personnel training and development efforts and serving as the Senior Naval Officer at the U.S. Embassy. His previous responsibilities also include Commanding Officer, Vanderbilt University ROTC, Human Resource Manager at the Naval Air Station in Millington, Tennessee; Deputy Executive Secretary, Secretary of Defense in Washington, D.C., and Commanding Officer at the Naval Air Station in Brunswick, Maine.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and a Master’s Degree in Financial Management from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California.
