Pratt & Whitney Acquires Techspace Aero Military Aftermarket Services

Pratt & Whitney completed the acquisition of the Belgium Engine Center in early July and will take over operations immediately.

FARNBOROUGH, England, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- FARNBOROUGH AIR SHOW -- Pratt & Whitney has acquired the military maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) business, to be named the Pratt & Whitney Belgium Engine Center, from Techspace Aero of Liege, Belgium, a majority owned company of Safran Group. The Belgium Engine Center will offer complete MRO services for the F100-PW-100, -200, -220, and -220E engines, as well as key components of the -229 engine. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company.

The new Pratt & Whitney Belgium Engine Center occupies a new state of the art facility opened in January 2008. Pratt & Whitney completed the acquisition of the Belgium Engine Center in early July and will take over operations immediately.

In addition, Pratt & Whitney offers a global network of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and military aftermarket services (MAS) focused on maintaining engine readiness for our customers.
