OSHKOSH, Wis. -- Just a few limited openings remain in EAA's Fantasy Flight Camps, which offer adult aviation enthusiasts opportunities to discover more about and fly aboard unique airplanes in the EAA collection.
Among the Fantasy Flight Camps that still have limited openings are:
- Golden Era of Aviation/Biplane & Spirit of St. Louis Fantasy Flight Camp (October 3-5): A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly in EAA's own Spirit of St. Louis reproduction. The barnstorming adventure also includes a full weekend immersed in aviation's Golden Era, topped off by flights in EAA's 1929 Travel Air and 1927 Swallow biplanes from historic Pioneer Airport.
- Ford Tri-Motor Fantasy Flight Camp (October 17-19): EAA's 1929 Ford Tri-Motor keeps alive the spirit of passenger transport's early days. Attendees will better understand and appreciate one of aviation's classic designs-affectionately referred to as the Tin Goose. A one-hour flight experience caps the experience, during which participants can log two-tenths of an hour at the controls.
- B-17 Fantasy Flight Camp (Dec. 12-14): You'll be immersed in the storied aircraft's history as you examine EAA's Aluminum Overcast, one of only a few flying B-17s left in the world. Also meet veterans and pilots who flew actual missions in the aircraft, topped by your own 20-minute flight experience.
Complete camp and registration information is available in the Special Events area of www.airventuremuseum.org. Prompt registration is recommended to ensure camp availability.
