Peachtree City, GA – September 24, 2008 – Century CRM’s NBAA PDP course, “Resource Management for Aviation Leaders,” has been approved by the FAA as an inspection authorization (IA) refresher-training course for maintenance professionals. This course is officially designated by the FAA as “Human Factors, Safety Management Systems, and Technical Training for Maintenance Professionals.” The course number is C/INDUSTRY/MI/08/01/15/001/03.
When asked the importance of the additional certification for their course, Steve Hopkins, Chief Instructor for Century CRM explained, “The value to maintenance professionals and department heads is huge. An individual taking this course not only accumulates CAM credits, but fulfills FAA IA requirements as well. The value to employers is that these individuals accumulate twice the credits while only being away from duty for the duration of this one course. The NBAA also wins by providing the opportunity to its members to attend a single course and reap the benefits of fulfilling requirements simultaneously in two areas of professional education.”
Century CRM is presenting the course at the NBAA Convention in October 2009, but also gives it periodically outside of the convention schedule. The September 2008 class has filled up, but plans are being firmed up for the next class date and location.
