Man Successfully Crosses English Channel Using a Single, Jet-Propelled Wing

National Geographic Channel to feed post-flight footage this morning.

CALAIS, FRANCE -- Today, Yves Rossy became the first man to fly across the English Channel from Calais, France to Dover, UK, using a homemade, single, jet-powered wing. He completed the trip at 8:19 a.m. EDT, having covered a distance of 23 miles in 13 minutes.

The National Geographic Channel (NGC) will make available a post-flight feed recapping this historic flight.

NGC has exclusive U.S. rights to Rossy's flight and will broadcast a one-hour primetime program entitled Flight of the Jet Man, tonight, Friday, Sept. 26 at 8:00 pm ET/PT, covering the flight and every angle of this historic chapter in aviation history.
