Kelly Simmons Named COO/CFO of Jet Support Services, Inc.

Simmons has nearly 30 years of experience in finance and securities, including accounting, mergers and acquisitions, Securities & Exchange Commission reporting, information systems and investor relations.

CHICAGO -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI®), the world’s largest, independent provider of hourly cost maintenance programs for the aviation industry, has named Kelly Simmons as its Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer. Simmons, 53, was most recently president and chief financial officer at GlobalSCAPE, a leading publicly traded software company specializing in file transfer over the Internet.

Simmons has nearly 30 years of experience in finance and securities, including accounting, mergers and acquisitions, Securities & Exchange Commission reporting, information systems and investor relations. He has experience in the jet-aircraft industry, having previously served as CFO of Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corporation, a maker of light business jets. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Simmons joined GlobalSCAPE as its CFO in September 2007 and was named interim president in March. Prior to that, he spent two years at Sino and earlier, from 1988-2000, held various executive positions with two affiliated public companies, US Long Distance and Billing Concepts. During his tenure, which included serving as CFO, the two companies grew to posting annual revenues of more than $500 million in 1999 from $2 million in 1988.

Simmons received a bachelor of science degree in finance from Louisiana State University, where he was captain of the football team.
